Nigerian barber, Joshua Aiyeniro, popularly known as T-Jos, has successfully completed the Guinness World Records attempt for the longest premium haircuts marathon, clocking an impressive 154 hours.

The seven-day challenge, which began on June 10, 2025, at exactly 10 p.m. at the Velodrome, Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja, came to a close June 17, 2025, at precisely 10 p.m. and was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who officially declared the countdown to the closing ceremony.

T-Jos spent 168 active hours on the challenge, with 14 hours of rest deducted in accordance with Guinness World Records rules, which entitle participants to one hour of rest after every 12 hours.

According to the Head of Media and Publicity of the Planning Committee, Alh. Gambo Jagindi, the remarkable achievement was a testament to T-Jos’s dedication, passion, and perseverance.

Jagindi noted that the presence of the Ondo State chief executive, along with other prominent figures, underscored the significance of T-Jos’s achievement and the impact it has on promoting skill acquisition and inspiring the youth.

Speaking, Aiyedatiwa noted that T-Jos’s achievement is not only a personal triumph but also a source of inspiration for many, adding: “We are proud to have supported him on this journey, and we look forward to seeing the impact his achievement will have on the nation’s youth.”
